Platelet Rich Plasma, or PRP, for the face is also known as the “Vampire Facial” made famous by a certain Hollywood celebrity. This procedure is among the newest and most effective advances in anti-aging and aesthetics. IMG has perfected the PRP facial by optimizing platelet extraction and purification methods to restore your skin’s texture, tone, and volume [link-to-picture]! Vampire facials are the most natural and safest treatment on the market for rejuvenating the skin, and therefore are becoming an alternative to other injectables and Botox.
PRP is 100% natural and is made from your own blood and it does not include any chemicals or toxins. Your own blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge, which separates the rest of the blood from the nutrient-rich PRP. At IMG we’ve combined the power and consistency of microneedling and vampire facials to deliver your PRP back onto your face to help rejuvenate new skin cells and beautify your skin for months to come. HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE NEEDED?
The number of treatment can differ according to the individual patient. In general IMG recommends one cycle of about three treatment sessions, which are performed about three to 5 weeks apart.
After treatment you may see swelling, tenderness, bruising or irritation around the treated area. These symptoms may last two to three days after treatment and can be alleviated by applying ice to the area.
